Information
Anton Friisgaard and Oscar Friisgaard are artists in residence at DIA in winter 2025-2026.
In this concert, Anton Friisgaard & Oscar Friisgaard present the first rendition of their musical concert piece, I WILL BE YOUR MIRROR. The piece is the result of their works over the past couple of months where the duo have focused on major themes of moral philosophy and their translation into contemporary music. In this concert the duo will explore the nature of evil as an aesthetic, philosophical, and emotional phenomenon through an interplay of electroacoustic music. The idea is to invite the audience into a narrative soundscape in which evil is examined as a complex and multifaceted structure, which not only articulates a relation between self and other, but also inevitably questions our relationship to ourselves.
The artists approach their theme as a three-dimensional sculpture - turned, shaped, and illuminated through sound, texture, spoken word, and performance. The concert piece thus serves as an open invitation for the audience to become active participants in a reflective journey and investigation.
